First violins

A graduate of the Université de Montréal under the direction of Vladimir Landsman, Alain Giguère began his musical studies with Jean Cousineau at the École des Petits Violons. He has been a member of the Orchestre symphonique de Laval since 1990.

Alain is a founding member of several ensembles in the metropolitan region: the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil and the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne (NEM), with whom he regularly plays as a soloist. He is also a member of the contemporary ensemble Transmission. He was also invited to perform Philippe Leroux's "Jump" at the Montpellier Festival with the Orchestre symphonique de Radio-France, under the direction of Pierre-André Valade.
