Madeleine began her musical studies in her hometown at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she received a Distinguished Prize and a Certificate in Orchestral music. Madeleine was subsequently accepted in the Orchestral training program of the renowned Rice University in Houston, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Music. Madeleine is Principal Trombone of the Orchestre symphonique de Laval and member of the Orchestre symphonique de Gatineau. She has performed with numerous orchestras including the Houston Symphony, the San Antonio Symphony, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec and the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil. Madeleine was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas from 2011 to 2013, which led her to take part in concerts in Central America, South America, Mexico and China. She has also been a guest artist of the Chamber Music Society of Bolivia where she has performed at several chamber music concerts. She has been involved with young musicians teaching here in Quebec, but also in Latin America, during her participation in the YOA Global Leaders program.
