Daniel Plamondon was born in Québec. He studied at the Université de Montréal where he obtained a Bachelor of Music in Alto Interpretation in 1988 and a Master's Degree in Alto Interpretation.

Founding member of the Véga Quartet, Daniel Plamondon has been a member of the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil, the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières and the Orchestre symphonique de Laval for over fifteen years. As a musician, Daniel Plamondon also appeared on stage with renowned artists such as Claude Dubois, Claude Léveillée, Richard Desjardins, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Michel Rivard, Gilles Vigneault, Ginette Reno and others.

For the past ten years, Daniel Plamondon has been a Manager (staff director) and coordinator for the Orchestre Philharmonique de l’île and the Sinfonietta de l’Île des Concerts Lachine. In 2002, Daniel Plamondon was hired as Manager and Coordinator for the Gala Concert ‘’Montréal en voix’’ of the Montréal en Lumière Festival. For that occasion he founded Les Productions Daniop inc.
