Flavie Gagnon is known for her qualities in chamber music. Her listening, her musicality and her thoroughness make her an accomplished violinist. A native of Montreal, she began learning the violin at the age of five. She studied in the Music concentration Program of the Pierre-Laporte High School. She holds a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree and a DESS in performance from the Université de Montréal and Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she has benefited from the teachings of Claude Richard, Jutta Puchhammer-Sédillot, Lorraine Vaillancourt, Margaret Little and Jean-François Rivest. In addition, she has had the opportunity to perfect herself with great masters such as Régis Pasquier, Laurence Kayaleh, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Chantal Juillet.
Flavie holds a position at the Orchestre symphonique de Laval and the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières, and she plays regularly with the Sinfonia de Lanaudière, the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke and the Orchestre des Grands Ballets Canadiens.
Flavie plays with a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume Violin, loaned by Canimex.
