Since 1990, the Orchestre symphonique de Laval has been presenting concerts for young people, perfect for Elementary and High School students.
Young public Concerts
Each year, the Orchestra presents a symphonic concert for children aged 4 to 11 years. Accompanied by a educational guide, this concert is presented to Laval schools on weekdays and to families on Sundays.
Presented by musicians of the Orchestra, workshops in the classroom are an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with classical music, the profession of musician and the different instruments that are in an orchestra.
Animated chamber music concerts presented in the Elementary schools of Laval, including some free of charge in disadvantaged schools thanks to partnership with the Commission scolaire de Laval.
School groups are invited to perform in the foyer of Salle André-Mathieu before the presentation of our symphonic concerts.
In concert with the Orchestra
Each season, a few students from Laval schools have the chance to join the Orchestre symphonique de Laval for a piece during a public concert at Salle André-Mathieu. An unforgettable experience for students, musicians and the public!
Public Dress rehearsal and meeting with the Conductor
The Orchestra opens the doors to High School students for the dress rehearsals Musique Maestro Memoria. Attending a rehearsal will allow young people to hear the works in an informal setting that allows closeness to the musicians. It is also the chance to meet Conductor Alain Trudel and to learn about the nature of his work!
