A graduate of Université de Montréal with Jean-Luc Morin, Céline Cléroux also studied with Walter Joachim and followed masterclasses with, among others, János Starker, Pierre Fournier and Philippe Müller.
She was then a member of the Orchestre des jeunes du Québec for three years before obtaining a position as cellist in the Orchestre Métropolitain in 1986. Ms. Cléroux is also an Associate Principal in two other Orchestras since 1985: the Orchestre symphonique de Laval and the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil. This cellist also makes chamber music in the Orchestre de chambre de Montréal and is currently an Associate Principal at the Orchestre de chambre de Longueuil.
She has appeared on several recordings of popular music (Marie-Denise Pelletier, Lynda Lemay, Vic Vogel, etc.) as well as in film and theater music. Céline Cléroux taught cello at the Joseph-François-Perrault School (music school) from 1985 to 2010. She currently teaches in private, to both adults and young people.
